By All Means Arts Pottery Studio at FARM, Fruita, CO

Matthew Jones, Ashtonn Means, and other instructors will be offering classes, workshops, and community events at Means Pottery Studio in Fruita, CO at the Fruita Arts Recreation Marketplace (FARM). To be the first to hear about classes, workshops, and events subscribe to our newsletter.

8-Week Classes and Weekend Workshops

8-Week Classes May - July 2025

Our classes are 8-week sessions with the first 6-weeks focusing on making work and the last 2-weeks focusing on glazing and firing the work. All firings are included in the class. Student's will need to purchase their own clay from the studio. We have a limited amount of studio tools to use. Students are encouraged to purchase their own tool kits for the class. Classes are limited to 8 students per class.

Whether you are brand new to ceramics or looking to get back in the swing of things this class is right for you. Learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, decorating, and glazing techniques. This class will focus on functional ceramics, such as cups, mugs, bowls, and other functional wares. 



Stop, Drop, & Pot! Ashtonn Means

Come explore the medium of clay! 

If you are new to the medium or want to continue expanding on your techniques, this class is perfect for you. Students will learn wheel-throwing techniques, surface design, and glaze application.

This class is a partnership with the Art Center of Western Colorado. 

One-Day Classes and Date Nights

One-Day Class and Date Nights

Tools and clay are provided for our one-day classes, date nights, and workshops. Wear clothes you are okay getting covered in mud. Limited to a maximum of 6 people per class, depending on the class. Pieces made during these classes will be finished, glazed, and fired by the Means Pottery Studio instructors and can be picked up within 10 - 12 weeks after the class is finished. You will receive an email from meanspottery@gmail.com with pick-up times.

Let's Get Spinning: One Day Wheel Throwing with Sarai Cruzan

$55 per person

Ages 14+

Perfect for students who have never touched clay before and want to experience wheel thrown ceramics. The instructor will give a wheel throwing demonstration on the fundamentals of making a bowl form and then each student will have the opportunity to throw on the wheel and create a one-of-a-kind bowl. Student's will get to keep one piece from the class that will be trimmed, glazed, and fired by the

We will have open studio hours outside of class for students to use to finish work that was produced during class time and continue work on their current projects.

We will have commercial clay and a studio mix available for purchase. We will have some studio tools available, but it is best to purchase your own tool kit.
